Claire is primarily inspired by the vast sea and skyscapes that are found along the Cornish coastline.
The architectural formation of the waves and their temporary structure provide a fascinating challenge. Nature is a stimulating source of direction and is a constant motivation, stirring her appreciation of both the natural world and wildlife.
Claire layers colour, when either using pastel or oil paint and endeavours to capture the ever changing scenery, be that of land,sea or sky.
